Private camera and document scanner
Shoot straight into the vault.
Photos taken with the regular Camera app land in your library first, then need moving and cleaning up. VaultBolt's private camera encrypts as it captures, so there is never an original to delete.
How it works
Private camera and document scanner, step by step.
Open the camera from the vault
Tap + and choose Camera, or Scan document for papers and IDs.
Capture
Photos stay in memory and are sealed before they are written. Video is encrypted in one-second segments as it records.
Done
The item appears in your vault. Nothing was saved to Photos.
No location added
The private camera adds no GPS and never asks for location permission.
Interruptions handled
A call, backgrounding or a full disk stops recording and seals what was captured within a second.
Document mode
Scan receipts, IDs and contracts into an encrypted PDF, with temporary files swept after every scan.
Honest limits
- Live Photos are off in the private camera because iOS would write a plain movie file.

Do photos taken in VaultBolt go to my camera roll?
