How it works
From camera roll to locked vault.
Six steps, about ten minutes, and no account. Here is exactly what happens to a photo when you move it into VaultBolt.
Set your unlock and save your phrase
Pick a pattern, PIN or passphrase, add Face ID if you like, and write down your 12-word recovery phrase. No account, no email.
Let the scan find what matters
VaultBolt scans your library on the iPhone and groups intimate photos, IDs, cards and screenshots of passwords. You review every group.
Move and encrypt
Selected items are encrypted with AES-256-GCM as they enter the vault, with names and folders encrypted too.
Clean up every copy
The guided clean-up deletes originals, empties Recently Deleted and checks iCloud Photos, then confirms: 0 copies left.
Back up and relax
Your encrypted vault backs up to your private iCloud. On a new phone, your recovery phrase brings everything back.
Stay in control
Add a decoy and duress code, intruder photos and quick exit on Pro, and sync your iPad.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does VaultBolt upload unencrypted photos?
No. Items are encrypted on the device before backup or sharing; only ciphertext ever leaves the phone.
How long does the first setup take?
A few minutes to set your unlock and save your phrase. The scan processes about a thousand photos a minute on a recent iPhone.
